Na ðð. ððð ð€ðððð«ððð® boste skupaj z ustvarjalci_kami odkrivali_e in podirali_e meje znotraj sebe ter znotraj PLAC-a. Izvajalke_ci vas bodo popeljale_i po skritih kotiÄkih Participativne avtonomne ljubljanske cone ter vam razprle_i skrite kotiÄke njih samih. Izvedba kabareta v PLAC-u ni nakljuÄje temveÄ premiÅ¡ljena odloÄitev v podporo politiÄnih projektov, ki zavraÄajo neoliberalno potroÅ¡niÅ¡ko logiko uniÄujoÄega kapitalizma tesno prepletenega s patriarhatom in toksiÄno maskulinostjo.

We invite you to the ðððð¡ ððð ððððð«ðð: ð
ððŠð¢ð§ð¢ð¬ðŠ ð¢ð¬ No Joke!
ð
Saturday, 19th April 2025 at 19:15 arrival, 19:30 doors open.
ð PLAC - Participatory Ljubljana Autonomous Zone, Ljubljana
At the ðððð¡ ððð ððððð«ðð you will join the artists in exploring and deconstructing boundaries â both within themselves and within PLAC itself. The performers will guide you through the hidden corners of the Participatory Ljubljana Autonomous Zone, while also revealing their own inner landscapes. The choice of PLAC as the venue is no coincidence, but a deliberate decision to support political projects that reject the neoliberal consumer logic of destructive capitalism â tightly intertwined with patriarchy and toxic masculinity.
The 19th edition will be a benefit event, raising funds to support the ongoing activities of PLAC (Participatory Ljubljana Autonomous Zone).
ð¡ ððð ððððð«ðð: ð ððŠð¢ð§ð¢ð¬ðŠ ð¢ð¬ Nðš Jðšð€ð! offers a space where performers create without censorship or limitations of conventional stages; where âuglyâ becomes beautiful, non-normative gets celebrated, âunattractiveâ turns into desirable. Mistakes are not only allowed â they are welcomed. Through the series of queer feminist DIY cabarets, we explore and question topics related to gender and sexual orientation that are often ignored, silenced, or repressed in society. At the same time, we strive to create a safe and inclusive space for everyone present.
ð¹ ðð¯ðŒðð ððð¬ ðð®ð¯ð®ð¿ð²ð
The DIY cabaret series was initiated in 2016 as a response to the attempted eviction of artists from the AT Rog squat. Its initiator, organiser, and MC is Danijela Zajc, who at the time also got sued by the Municipality of Ljubljana. The cabaret served both as a form of resistance and a fundraising effort to cover legal costs. From the very beginning, the project has functioned as an open stage for the wider community, bringing together diverse performative expressions, supporting grassroots spaces, and continuing the tradition of the benefit show. More than 200 artists from all over the world have performed as part of the cabaret in the past 18 editions. This edition is the first â after all these years â not to be created âad hocâ, in a single day (as was the case with all previous editions), but is the result of a longer process of workshops and collective creation.
The event is part of the Karavana naredi sam_a, which is a platform for young and/or emerging artists or anyone interested in taking part in performative art (technical crew, make-up, costume design, photography, videoâŠ). As part of the project, participants received free training in performative and supporting disciplines.
