This fusion Ecstatic dance experience combines both Maila and Chante’s vision for a soul filling, booty shaking, creative and earthy experience. They invite you on a musical journey that will take you from feeling sensually present, serene and delicious, to expressive, playful, joyful, alive, and slowly wind down into stillness. The music selection will reflect their favorite juicy rhythms sampled from all over the world from our ancestral past and into the music of our co-creation. Their playlist may make you laugh, sing, clap, stomp your feet, release sound, stretch and move in ways that just feel natural and good.
The warm-up will be lovingly guided by Maila who hopes to create a space of comfort and relaxation. Shiatsu massage will be offered by the caring and loving hands of Chante. This bodywork is inspired by the first Ecstatic dance event she attended that ended up being profoundly life changing.
Elements from of Burningman and flow arts culture, together will create an environment that feels welcoming, sparks creativity and authenticity. Dance props, costumes, and sparkles will be available for exploration. We can't wait to get the party started with you!

★Meet Your Hosts★
Maila
Maila’s first Ecstatic Dance experience was in Toronto where she was deeply touched by a feeling of “HOME” and satisfaction that lingered after the event so much that she decided to bring the same experience to Slovenia, where she now lives. Since then, she has led numerous Ecstatic dances, teaches sensual dance and meditation. She is passionate about dance and has explored the world of hula-hooping, pole dance, flamenko, tribal fusion belly dance and fire play. Her desire is to lovingly invite people to connect to their sensuality, awareness of within and the goodness of feeling alive.
Chante
Her first experiences with ecstatic dance were while living in Chicago, where the thriving ecstatic dance community is greatly influenced by Burning Man culture and a variety of healing therapies and flow arts. She has been a certified zen shiatsu practitioner since 2014. In 2020 she migrated to Bela Krajina region of Slovenia, joining her partner where they produce bio apple juice and offer ecotours for an endemic creature, known as The Black Olm. She trains capoeira with Balanco da Meia Lua in Ljubjana with whom she collaborates with for an international capoeira retreat called Gathering of the Tribes:Slovenia. She has led various improvisational movement classes for kids and adults alike with a special focus on blues dance.
