✨ V sklopu Ljubljana Art Weekenda in končne razstave 19. generacije šole Svet umetnosti, vas vljudno vabimo na 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘇 𝘂𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗺𝗱𝗷𝗶𝗮𝗻.

𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗺𝗱𝗷𝗶𝗮𝗻 (1986, Sofija) živi in ustvarja v Berlinu, kamor se je preselila leta 1990. Njena interdisciplinarna umetniška praksa temelji na metodah, ki jih črpa iz različnih znanstvenih disciplin in z njimi raziskuje svojo armensko in bolgarsko dediščino. Pri delu s fotografskim medijem uporablja metode, podobne arheološkim, forenzičnim in muzejskim. Izobraževala se je na umetniških akademijah v Haagu (NL), Weimarju in Leipzigu (DE), kjer trenutno nadaljuje študij fotografije v okviru podiplomskega umetniškega programa (post honours degree for artists, Meisterschülerin). Razstavljala je v Kunstraum Potsdam (2023), Museum Brot und Kunst (2022), Copenhagen Photo Festivalu (2021), Goethe Institutu Montreal (2021), Galerie Bernau (2021), nGbK Berlin (2019), Les Rencontres d’Arles, MdbK Leipzig (2019), Kassel Documentary and Video Festivalu (2018) in drugih mednarodnih prizoriščih. Je ustanovna članica Resonanzraum Erzgebirge e.V., neprofitnega kulturnega društva, ki premišljuje ukrepe za krepitev zaupanja in solidarnosti ter druge družbene izzive, pa tudi ost in space, umetniškega raziskovalnega programa, ki obravnava kulturne pojave v Rudnem gorovju in omogoča spoznavanje regije z novih in drugačnih vidikov.

Predavanje je del spremljevalnega programa končne razstave 19. generacije Šole za kuratorske prakse in kritiško pisanje Svet umetnosti 2022/24 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙖 𝙑𝙤𝙞𝙙. 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 umetnice 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗺𝗱𝗷𝗶𝗮𝗻 v Galeriji Škuc (10. 5.–6. 6. 2024). Razstava na ogled postavlja tri med seboj povezane projekte, ki raziskujejo proces ustvarjanja spomina in njegovo vlogo pri oblikovanju osebne identitete.

✨ As part of the Ljubljana Art Weekend final exhibition of the 19th generation of the of World of Art school, we invite you to an 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗺𝗱𝗷𝗶𝗮𝗻.

𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗺𝗱𝗷𝗶𝗮𝗻 (1986, Sofia) lives and works in Berlin, to where she moved in 1990. Her interdisciplinary art practice is based on methods drawn from various scientific disciplines, which she uses to explore her Armenian and Bulgarian heritage. Working with the photographic medium, she employs methods similar to those of archaeology, forensics and museums. She was trained at art academies in The Hague (NL), Weimar and Leipzig (DE), where she is currently pursuing her studies in photography as part of the post honours degree for artists, Meisterschülerin. She has exhibited at Kunstraum Potsdam (2023), Museum Brot und Kunst (2022), Copenhagen Photo Festival (2021), Goethe Institut Montreal (2021), Galerie Bernau (2021), nGbK Berlin (2019), Les Rencontres d’Arles, MdbK Leipzig (2019), Kassel Documentary and Video Festival (2018) and other international venues. She is a founding member of Resonanzraum Erzgebirge e.V., a non-profit cultural association that reflects on confidence and solidarity building measures and other social challenges, as well as ost in space, an artistic research programme that addresses cultural phenomena in the Ore Mountains and allows the region to be seen from new and different perspectives.

The lecture is part of the accompanying programme of the final exhibition of the 19th generation of the School for Curatorial Practices and Critical Writing World of Art 2022/24 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙖 𝙑𝙤𝙞𝙙. 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 by Beatrice 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗺𝗱𝗷𝗶𝗮𝗻 at Škuc Gallery (10 May – 6 June 2024). The exhibition presents three interconnected projects that explore the processes of creating memory and its role in the formation of personal identity.
