𝐼𝑛𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑒 𝑀𝑖𝑟𝑟𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 is an exhibition about the exploration of and passion for light, without which neither space nor time can be shaped. It is a synthesis between photography and sculpture, two forms of art that are strongly intertwined in practice. In the project, Sara Rman draws on her previous experience, approaching her work openly and with curiosity, being primarily concerned with the materiality of the photographic medium. In this context, the image is reduced to the point where only the material remains, only to be manipulated in different ways so that it mirrors itself, generating its own image. The materials inherent to the photographic medium are complemented with materials that highlight the notion of light transmission, while at the same time, beams of light casting shadows invariably create new images.
Reflective, absorbing and translucent surfaces and structures create new images, and it is interesting to observe how the perception of time and space slows down or disappears as the viewer focuses their gaze on a chosen point. Each surface is a reflection of time progressing before our eyes without our knowledge.
