Na razstavi 𝘒𝘢𝘬𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘰𝘭𝘪 𝘻̌𝘦, 𝘬𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘶 𝘣𝘰 𝘷𝘴𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘻𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘫𝘦𝘯𝘰, na ogled v Galeriji Škuc med 20. 1. in 16. 2. 2023, umetnici Huda Takriti in Nicole Hewitt ter umetniški kolektiv Nonument Group prevzamejo vlogo arhivark_jev in pripovedovalk_cev zgodb na lovu za ostanki preteklosti, katere potek je mestoma nejasen, dokazi pa redki, ponekod celo neobstoječi. Umetnice_ki v svojih projektih združujejo različno arhivsko gradivo ter z njegovo modifikacijo in reinterpretacijo ustvarjajo prostor za prezrte zgodbe. S pomočjo fikcije pomanjkljivo, skorajda sramežljivo orisujejo tisto, kar se je ali pa bi se bilo lahko zgodilo. Izbrana dela se vračajo k ruševinam preteklosti, jih nadgrajujejo in preko njih raziskujejo proces zgodovinjenja ter vlogo podobe kot dokaza v arhivih in širšem kolektivnem spominu.

In the exhibition 𝘈𝘯𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘺s, 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯, on view at Škuc Gallery from 20 January to 16 February, artists Huda Takriti, Nicole Hewitt and the artist collective Nonument Group take on the role of archivists and storytellers. On the hunt for the remnants of a past whose course is unclear, its evidence scarce, and, in places, non-existent, they bring together a variety of archived and altered material for reconstruction, carving out a space for omitted stories. Utilising fictioning as a method, the artists sketch out what supposedly happened in a flawed, almost coy way. Selected projects revisit and build on the ruins of the past. They explore the process of historicising and the role of the image as evidence in archives and the wider collective memory.
