In this lecture, we will journey through the remarkable evolution of stroke care over the past decades—tracing how our understanding has transformed from passive observation to rapid, precision-driven intervention. We will explore the pivotal role of modern imaging in revealing what was once invisible, enhancing our ability to recognize stroke at its earliest and most treatable stages. Particular emphasis will be placed on the urgency of time, the refinement of diagnostic pathways, and the breakthroughs that have revolutionized acute treatment.
This session will be delivered by Senta Frol, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor and Vascular Neurologist at the University Medical Center Ljubljana, Department of Vascular Neurology, whose work focuses on advancing acute stroke care and improving patient outcomes.
